Description

The most frequently employed instrument in the treatment of a variety of benign and malignant urinary system diseases is the ureteral stent, also referred to as the D-J Catheter or Double J Catheter. One end of the ureteral stent is situated in the kidney, while the other end is situated in the bladder. Ureteral stents are designed to provide support, expand, and facilitate internal drainage of the ureter. It has the potential to dilate the ureter, alleviate the temporary obstruction caused by ureteral inflammatory edema, and prevent ureteral stricture and obstruction caused by small calculi following an operation.
