Utilizes a novel variable stroke mechanism that is connected to a variable speed geared motor (which does not have backlash). It accommodates a variety of animal sizes by providing a cylinder/piston assembly that is easily interchangeable, with the option of a 5ml, 10ml, or 30ml capacity.
Four ports (Intake, To Animal, From Animal, and Exhaust) provide flexibility in air channeling. Room air or any other non-explosive gas mixture may serve as input. Exhaust air may be collected for analysis or recycled in part or in full.
