Kick® EM1 is a frameless procedure-specific, streamlined navigation platform with a compact footprint. Kick EM is both portable and effortless to install due to its minimalistic design. This system is particularly well-suited for small operating rooms or as an auxiliary system that facilitates accurate pointer navigation in larger facilities. The Kick EM is composed of three components: the Kick monitor cart, the connection panel, and the field generator. The electromagnetic field surrounding the patient’s head is generated by the field generator, which is affixed to a flexible arm for optimal patient setup. The interface between the tracking unit and the navigation system is the connection panel, which is either mounted to the O.R. table or directly on the monitor cart.
