Corneal Topographer

The corneal topograph is composed of three components: ①Placido disc projection system: The corneal surface is uniformly projected with 28 or 34 rings from the center to the periphery, ensuring that the entire cornea is within the dry projection analysis range. ②Real-time image monitoring system; the real-time image monitoring system enables the observation, monitoring, and adjustment of the ring image projected on the corneal surface in real-time. This allows for the capture of the corneal image in its optimal state, which is then stored for analysis. ③Image processing system, computer; the computer initially digitizes the stored images, applies the predetermined calculation formulas and programs for analysis, and subsequently displays the results of the analysis on the fluorescent screen with a variety of color images. output:The corneal topography is intended to evaluate the entire corneal surface. The processing system incorporates 256 points for each projection ring. Consequently, the analysis system has received over 7000 data points for the entire cornea. It is evident that the corneal topography is systematic, precise, and accurate. Corneal topography is clinically employed to diagnose corneal astigmatism, quantitatively analyze corneal properties, and display corneal flexion in data or various colors. Corneal astigmatism distinguishes the two-axis flexion. The corneal map has enabled the early diagnosis of keratoconus and keratoconus in the subclinical stage, and the accuracy of the diagnosis of keratoconus is as high as 96%. This is due to the ability to diagnose abnormal corneal flexion.
