The Octet® R2 System is a cost-effective and adaptable solution for conducting high-quality interaction analysis. The trade-off between cost and performance is no longer a constraint for low-volume users and startup academic and biotech labs when selecting a label-free assay system. An advanced, fluidics-free approach to interaction analysis is provided by the 2-channel Octet® R2 system, which includes a diverse selection of off-the-shelf Dip and Read biosensors for binding kinetics and quantitation analysis. Octet® R2 offers a low-cost entry point for laboratories with lower throughput requirements, while also allowing for the flexibility to upgrade to 4 or 8 channels in the field at any time.

The Octet® R2 System is designed to characterize protein-protein and protein-small molecule binding interactions in order to facilitate early research and discovery. The multipurpose system also provides quantitative information by measuring the concentrations of active proteins, even in complex mixtures such as cell culture supernatants and lysates. The Octet® R2 instrument is capable of measuring interactions between small molecules, which are as small as 150 Da, and their larger binding partners, in order to accurately determine kinetic rates.
