IITC Life Science developed the original Electronic von Frey Aesthesiometer, which is employed to evaluate mechanical allodynia. The rigid tips (threshold) and the "SupertipsTM" (flexible von Frey hairs) are employed for sensory testing on all test subjects, including animal and human subjects. The current Electronic von Frey Aesthesiometer series allows researchers to utilize a single unit for up to five total test disciplines. A single unit can be utilized for multiple studies by multiple users.input:

Pipette tips can be customized to meet any specific requirement. Our system is a user-friendly and straightforward system that was designed to allow researchers to evaluate sensory and pain thresholds in a single system. Rigid tips are employed when pain threshold measurements are required, while one of the 15 Supertips™ is employed when sensory threshold measurements are required. Pressure probes weighing 90, 800, or 1000 grams are included with the system. The test subject determines the type of pressure probe.
