The URI12F urine reagent strips allow for the semi-quantitative measurement of nitrite, leukocytes, ketones, creatinine, urobilinogen, bilirubin, protein, glucose, specific gravity, blood, pH, and microalbumin in urine. This feature enables the measurement of multiple urine constituents and its application in everyday diagnosis and group examinations. output:Nitrite: The test is specific to nitrite and is based on the principle of Griess’s test. The interpretation of any degree of uniform pink color development should be positive.input:
output:The nitrite test indicates the presence of 105 or more organisms per mL; however, the color development is not directly proportional to the number of bacteria present. A negative result does not necessarily indicate that there is no significant bacteriuria. Negative results may result when urinary tract infections are caused by organisms that lack the ability to convert nitrate to nitrite, when urine is not retained in the bladder for an adequate amount of time (4-8 hours), or when dietary nitrate is absent, even when organisms containing reductase are present and bladder incubation is sufficient.
