Description
A J stent, or double J stent, is a thin and flexible plastic tube that is inserted into the ureter to prevent or treat obstruction of the urine flow from the kidney. It is curled at both ends to prevent dislocation and to prevent damage to the kidney and urinary bladder. The stent is positioned so that its upper end is located in the kidney and its lower end is located in the urinary bladder.input:
