The XFT-2001P Peripheral Nerve Stimulator is a low-frequency electrical stimulator. It is a component of the XFT-2001D Foot Drop System.

This peripheral nerve stimulator serves two primary objectives. The initial step is to ascertain the viability of the common peroneal nerve and the extent of innervation of the peroneus longus (superficial branch) and tibialis anterior (deep branch) muscles. The second objective is to determine the initial placement of the posterior electrode in order to generate a "balanced" dorsiflexion and eversion movement of the foot/ankle.
