output:Operational principleThe 4×1 HD-tES adaptor interface is an accessory to an isolated 2-channel tDCS / tES stimulator and does not operate as a standalone electrical stimulator or generator. The 4×1 HD-tES adaptor device is intended to function as an interface between a 5 stimulation leads and an isolated 2-channel Soterix Medical current-controlled tES stimulator. Four of the leads are connected to one output of the tES stimulator, while the remaining lead is connected to the other output. In contrast to the larger sponge electrodes utilized in conventional 2-channel tES, the output leads are connected to smaller high-definition (HD) electrodes. The device functions in two modes: SCAN and PASS. In PASS MODE, the 4×1 HD-tES adaptor only functions as a passive current divider and does not modulate the waveform of the tES stimulator.
