Misidentification of samples at any stage of the analytical process is a recognizable concern in Exome Sequencing and Genome Sequencing due to the complex sample preparation workflows and the challenges associated with managing multiple NGS samples. It is therefore highly desirable to have a method for independent confirmation of sample identity, preferably one that is intrinsic to the WES and WGS data of the biological sample and is easy to integrate into the current workflow.
