Product summary

Firalis offers colorimetric sandwich ELISA kits that have been developed and validated for the purpose of measuring biomarkers in blood-derived matrices samples. Our validation process is in conformity with the most stringent requirements of the ISO 17025 norm (GLPC compliant), guaranteeing that our customers will have access to the most suitable and dependable tool for their analysis.

Calponin-1 (CNN-1)
Properties: The smooth muscle counter-part protein of Troponin, Calponin-1 (or CNN-1) is located in the myocardium. The basic Calponin isoform is highly specific to smooth muscle, and three isoforms have been described.

It is hypothesized that Calponin-1 regulates the contractility of the smooth muscle by binding to Actin, Calmodulin, Troponin C, and Tropomyosin.

CNN-1 has been recently investigated as a circulating marker of arterial damage due to its high tissue specificity and the analogy with Troponin proteins (myocardial necrosis marker).

Clusterin

Properties: Clusterin, also known as Apolipoprotein J, is a glycoprotein that is frequently linked to the regulation of cell proliferation, apoptosis, and the clearance of cellular debris. It is detected in plasma, milk, urine, cerebrospinal fluid, and semen, and is expressed in the majority of mammalian tissues.

Numerous recent publications have demonstrated that the level of serum Clusterin increases significantly in patients who are developing coronary heart disease or myocardial infarction.

Clusterin is an intriguing circulating biomarker for the investigation of the physiopathology of heart failure.

CaldesmonProperties: Caldesmon is a potential modulator of smooth muscle contraction that is predominantly expressed in the thin filament of smooth muscle.
