SmartLUX enables the simultaneous acquisition of images and electrophysiological recordings. The Pulse Generator of PATCHMASTER synchronizes the timing of the camera, the fluorescence excitation light source, and the electrophysiological command signals.input:

Fluorescence mean values from regions of interest (ROI), which can be marked by the user in the image, are plotted alongside the current trace in the Oscilloscope window and stored alongside the other data in PATCHMASTER’s data tree.
SmartLUX displays the corresponding image as the user progresses through the data tree. When the Oscilloscope’s scan function is employed to move through the data points of the fluorescence trace, the individual images are displayed if additional images were acquired during a single sweep.

In a sweep recording, up to three distinct wavelengths may be utilized.Online visualization of the mean fluorescence values from ROIs in conjunction with sweep data.Image data and electrophysiological/electrochemical data are directly linked; the initial image captured during the sweep is automatically displayed during the replay of electrophysiological data sweeps.
The corresponding image is automatically displayed when the user navigates through individual data points of a fluorescence trace.
