It employs two plastic scintillation detectors: a patented double-sided hands detector and a foot detector. The detachable hand detector can also be employed to measure the clothes or to identify which foot is contaminated.input:

The VLB-303-2-ST model incorporates a detector that can measure the activity in the thyroid and a detector that measures the activity in the stomach, which is based on an end-filter GM tube. The NaI detector serves as the foundation for the thyroid detector.input:

VERA 303 SOFTWARE is a user-friendly data management software. Is intended to facilitate the management of VLB-303-X measurements for individual users or for a group of users (e.g., a department) simultaneously. The VERA 303 Software and Database are stored on a PC that is connected to the VLB-303-X via an Ethernet connection. All of the VLB data is managed by this personal computer.

The VLB’s display is equipped with an RFID reader in order to function in conjunction with VERA 303. The VLB is accessible to all users (or groups) through the use of a dedicated badge. The system recognizes the user, initiates the measurements, and stores the data by having the user pass their badge in front of the RFID reader to initiate the measurement.
