The BSC Mesh (BSC = Bilateral Sacrospinous Colposuspension) is intended to stimulate the formation of neo-ligaments by creating a symmetrical, bilateral suspension of the vaginal vault from the sacrospinous ligament. It replicates the support that was previously provided by the natural ligaments, which are no longer functional.input:

The BSC Mesh is composed of a unique, ultralight polypropylene that features a hexagonal mesh structure, which contributes to its isoelasticity. The rapid anatomical integration and minimal tissue reaction are the result of a very high porosity (93%) and a very low weight of only 21 g/m2. This combination of properties facilitates the ingrowth of the mesh, which subsequently serves as an elastic suspension for the uterine cervix or vagina from the sacrospinous ligament. This enables the cervix to revert to its anatomical, physiological position.input:
output:The isoelastic mesh implant has direct contact with the vagina due to its extremely small surface area of material surrounding the vaginal wall, which is only 3 cm2. The mesh is positioned in a manner that prevents it from being under the vaginal incision, but rather in a more proximal location.
