The BSC Mesh (BSC = Bilateral Sacrospinous Colposuspension) is intended to stimulate the formation of neo-ligaments by creating a symmetrical, bilateral suspension of the vaginal vault from the sacrospinous ligament. The BSC Mesh is composed of a unique, ultralight polypropylene that features a hexagonal mesh structure, which contributes to its isoelasticity. The rapid anatomical integration and minimal tissue reaction are the result of a very high porosity (93%) and a very low weight of only 21 g/m2. This combination of properties facilitates the ingrowth of the mesh, which subsequently serves as an elastic suspension for the uterine cervix or vagina from the sacrospinous ligament. This enables the cervix to revert to its anatomical, physiological position.input:
