Description
The Type 8232 from Bürkert is an electrochemical sensor that is designed to measure the free or total chlorine content of an inorganic source, such as chlorine gas or sodium hypochlorite solution. The sensor is offered in four different configurations: • The “Trace” sensor (zero chlorine) is capable of measuring extremely low concentrations of free chlorine, as it is equipped with three electrodes. This sensor’s diaphragm is safeguarded against biofouling, enabling it to operate in water devoid of chlorine for a maximum of four weeks. The 5-pin M12 circular male connector is equipped with a voltage output. • The pH dependency of the sensor with three electrodes for free chlorine is significantly reduced. The sensor is intended for use in swimming pools, drinking water, or seawater and features a 5-pin M12 circular male connector with a current output. A chlorine concentration of at least 0.1 ppm is required in the liquid. • A current output is provided by the sensor with two electrodes for free chlorine via a 5-pin M12 circular male connector. This sensor is intended for use with process, drinking, or swimming pool water. Cleaning agents (e.g., surfactants) and abrasive particles must not be present in the fluid being measured. It is imperative to maintain a consistent pH level. A chlorine concentration of at least 0.1 ppm is required in the fluid. • The pH dependency of the sensor with three electrodes for total chlorine is significantly reduced. The sensor is suitable for applications in swimming pools, drinking or sea water, and brine, and it has a current output on a 5-pin M12 circular male connector. Total chlorine is determined by the sum of free chlorine and combined chlorine.input:
