SensoQuest is the sole manufacturer of the Thermoblock 48, a distinctive silver block. This block is gradient-capable and controlled by a processor, with six peltier elements that are individually controlled to ensure exceptional temperature uniformity. In contrast to aluminum, which has a thermal conductivity of 237 W/mK, silver has a thermal conductivity of 429 W/mK, which results in a superior block uniformity. This enables the operation at a high speed while consuming a maximum of 350 watts. The average power output during a typical run is less than 150 watts. The end result is a high level of performance, with minimal energy consumption, a low carbon footprint, reduced heat in the laboratory, and, most importantly, reduced noise from the cooling fans. During actual operations, the heating rate is 4.2°C/s. The cooling capability of the device is demonstrated at its maximum capacity, which is minus 5 °C. There is a long-term possibility of instantaneous incubation at low temperatures and the melting point. The Thermoblock 48 is equipped with a gradient, ramp rates, programmable temperatures, and time in(de)crements.input:
