Mystaire® MY-PCR prep stations are compact laminar flow enclosures that mitigate the risk of sample contamination during polymerase chain reaction experiments.HEPA-filtered air is maintained at a constant positive pressure to prevent the entry of airborne contaminants into the work zone. The work area is effectively decontaminated between amplifications by the built-in 254 nanometer shortwave lamp located in each PCR prep station. All PCR prep stations are equipped with safety interlocks to prevent the operator from being exposed to UV radiation that may be harmful.The operator is able to amplify RNA and DNA while minimizing the potential for background from airborne contaminants using MY-PCR prep stations, which are bench-top personal clean zones.Please be advised that MY-PCR and FE-PCR are not biological safety cabinets. They are intended to offer process protection solely from potential airborne contaminants that may be within the laboratory environment.
