Monoclonal Antibody
Applications | For Cancers |
Tested Parameter | Ca 125 |
Type | Monoclonal Antibody |
The Oc125 monoclonal antibody (MAb) established by Bast et al.1 originally defined CA125, a high molecular weight mucin-type glycoprotein. A variety of epitopes, which are co-expressed with the Oc125 epitope on the CA125 antigen, have been employed to develop heterologous assays for the determination of the CA125 antigen2. The two mouse monoclonal antibodies, Ov197 and Ov185, that are directed against two independent epitopes of the protein core of the CA125 antigen are the foundation of the CA125 EIA3, 4. Patients with gynecological malignancies, including epithelial ovarian cancer, frequently undergo CA125 assays for monitoring.
