Description

Thermal analyzer that operates simultaneously

Measures the endothermic or exothermic reaction and weight changes.

Simultaneous thermal analysis (STA) is an analytical method that simultaneously measures differential thermal analysis (DTA) and thermogravimetry (TG). input:
output:Thermogravimetry allows for the analysis of the reaction temperature and the rate of weight change in reactions such as dehydration, thermal decomposition, evaporation, and oxidation by measuring the sample’s change in weight. Differential thermal analysis (DTA) quantifies the endothermic or exothermic reaction temperatures, including those associated with transition, melting, crystallization, dehydration, decomposition, oxidation, and glass transition. The DTA can be converted to DSC through calibration using the melting peaks of standard metals, allowing for its use as TG-DSC.input:
output:Rigaku’s TG-DTA utilizes a horizontal differential triple-coil balance to cancel out a variety of fluctuations that cause TG drift, thereby achieving highly precise weight change measurements. Additionally, the sample-controlled TG (SCTG) method is included as a standard. This method has two modes: constant reaction control (CRC) and stepwise isothermal analysis (SIA), in which the temperature is regulated by the rate of the sample’s weight change. input:
output:Additionally, the sample observation TG-DTA is capable of capturing visual images of the sample while performing measurements using a CCD camera. These images enable us to observe changes in the sample’s shape or color that are associated with a reaction. These images are beneficial for the interpretation of TG-DTA results.input:
output:CharacteristicsAccurate compensation for a horizontal differential triple-coil balance

The heating and cooling processes are significantly expedited by a compact furnace.
