UNI terminal units are the points, whether fixed or flying, of a medical gas distribution system that the user frequently connects and disconnects to draw the various gases intended to supply anesthesia, ventilation, and general medical use equipment. Terminal units and their components must be installed securely, as an incorrect connection can jeopardize the patient’s life. Materials utilized include chrome-plated brass CW614N for the body and other high-strength components, the outer ferrule, INOX steel for the pins, C98 steel for the springs, food-grade NBR or VITON rubber for the gaskets, polycarbonate for the labels, and copper for the output tube.
