Class B autoclaves are high-level steam sterilizers that employ a vacuum pump to eliminate air/steam mixtures from the chamber before the sterilization cycle commences. It is capable of sterilizing both wrapped and unwrapped instruments, regardless of their complexity and type. The Class B tabletop autoclave is the most sophisticated “plug-and-play” model currently available.
