Throughout the challenging months of the Covid-19 pandemic, FPS has created a novel swab solution to guarantee the safety of both operators and patients: the Swab Testing Station (STS).input:
output:The first system to safely swab potentially infected patients by healthcare personnel located outside the station has been designed and constructed by FPS, drawing inspiration from the Korean hospital of Yangji in Seoul.input:
output:The tests are extremely safe, as neither the operator nor the patient are ever in direct contact, and they only require a few minutes. The STS is capable of performing 10 swabs in one hour once it is positioned at strategic locations (e.g., the entrances of hospitals, pharmacies, neighborhoods, and squares). The cabins are easily transportable. input:
output:The waste generated by the swabbing activities is removed from the Swab Testing Station in a completely safe manner using a specialized container located within each cabin.input:
output:The STS is comprised of two cabins, each of which is equipped with robust ventilation that expedites the aeration phase following sanitization, thereby minimizing the amount of time between tests. Additionally, the ventilation enables the establishment of negative dynamic pressure within each of the two cabins. The risk of potentially contaminated air escaping the station is significantly reduced by the use of best-in-class filtration.input:
output:An intercom enables the patient and operator to communicate clearly, and it is possible to utilize pre-recorded audio with standard instructions in multiple languages.
