Product summary

TransFix/EDTA Vacuum Blood Collection Tubes (TVTs) are plastic, direct-draw collection tubes that are utilized to stabilize venous blood at the point of collection and preserve whole blood specimens for immunophenotyping by flow cytometry. TVTs are prefilled with an adequate amount of TransFix-containing K3EDTA to ensure the immediate anticoagulation and stabilization of 3ml or 9ml of blood for a period of up to 14 days.input:
output:In Europe, all TVT are CE-marked for IVD use, and 3ml versions are available for IVD use in the United States. input:

Characteristics of TVTsinput:
output: Maintain the cell surface antigens of lymphocyte subsets for a maximum of 14 days.

Prefilled with an adequate amount of TransFix and K3EDTA to stabilize and anticoagulate a final draw volume of 3ml or 9ml of blood. Various pack sizes are available.

Optimal sample stability is achieved through immediate stabilization.

Simplicity of use: The TransFix/EDTA Vacuum Blood Collection Tubes are compatible with docking sheaths from the majority of manufacturers.Gamma radiation sterilization.input:
output:Advantages of TVTs Decreased variability: Guarantees the integrity of the sample during the transfer between testing sites.

Pre-analysis variability is minimized, as all samples are preserved at the same time.

Reduces the effect of unforeseen delays in the analysis

Convenience: Simple to operate: blood is collected directly into TransFix, and the mixture is then mixed by inversion.

Minimum amount of time spent in physical contact with collection sites

Cost savings: Enhanced testing efficiency - enables the batching of samples prior to testing.

Prevent the necessity for additional phlebotomy procedures as a result of degraded samples.

After the initial analysis, additional tests can be conducted on the same sample without the need for subject recall.
