Optilene® Mesh is a mesh implant that is used to reinforce connective tissue structures. It is made of monofilament polypropylene that has been knitted into a thin, elastic, and shape-stable mesh. After implantation, the Optilene® Mesh adjusts to the longitudinal and latitudinal expansions that occur in the connective tissue. Optilene® Mesh does not exhibit any independent pharmacological properties. Indication: The polypropylene mesh is biostable and does not degrade in the body.Reinforcement material in the context of connective tissue weakness:- For the repair of an inguinal hernia- For the repair of primary ventral hernias - For the repair of incisional hernias
