Hood model 016 is available in three distinct sizes to accommodate pediatric or neonatal cribs. Sizes 1 and 2 are equipped with a top ring for radiant heating, which ensures that high oxygen levels are maintained without the cover impeding the heating.
Size 1 is appropriate for newborns weighing at or below 1000 grams, while size 2 is appropriate for newborns weighing between 1000 and 3600 grams and size 3 is appropriate for newborns weighing at or above 3600 grams.input:

Primary characteristics
• Constructed entirely of optical-clear acrylic of the highest quality;• Cover with a central hole for the inlet of an oxygen sensor or thermometer;• Two additional small side openings to release excess CO2 in the event of oxygen deprivation, in addition to the front opening for the patient's neck;• The oxygen inlet valve is equipped with a baffle on the inside to prevent the gas from directly entering or cooling the patient's head.• An essential safety factor, none of these openings must be sealed in order to achieve the desired levels of oxygen concentration, as a result of their design.
