Description
Direct attachment for implant-retained overdentures
The OT Equator is a new titanium attachment with a “narrow” profile that is compatible with all implant platforms, diameters, and connections. Based on its reduced diameter and height, the OT Equator is the smallest dimensional overdenture attachment currently available on the market.
The maximum vertical dimension (attachment + retentive cap + housing) is a mere 2.1 mm, while the diameter (attachment + retentive cap + housing) is 4.5 mm.
This system provides a variety of technical solutions that are contingent upon the prosthetic project, allowing for the planning of a variety of overdenture treatments.
The OT Equator attachment is constructed from titanium material (grade 5 Eli) and features a nitride coating surface. This treatment enhances the hardness of the material by up to 1600 Vickers, resulting in maximum wear-resistance and reduced plaque and bacterial adhesion over time. The coupling between the hemisphere and the retentive cap ensures the functionality of this attachment.
Retentive caps are available in a variety of colors, each of which corresponds to a different level of retention. To ensure maximum effectiveness and ease of replacement in the dental cabinet and laboratory, it is essential to use the appropriate metal housings.
Depending on the implant platform, each OT Equator attachment is available in a range of gingival heights, from a minimum of 0.5mm to a maximum of 7.0mm. Additionally, it is designed to be compatible with dental implants that are classified as “unknown” by the dentist.
