HYDROGENIUS is a breath monitor that is employed for Hydrogen Breath Testing (HBT) and evaluates the levels of hydrogen (H2) in expired breath. It can be employed as a non-invasive, patient-friendly tool to identify gastro-intestinal disorders such as food malabsorption, sugar intolerances, and Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO).
HYDROGENIUS is a hand-held monitor that is user-friendly and enables the automatic testing of up to 10 patients in a single session. It does not require any warm-up time, provides rapid results, and includes built-in suggested testing protocols and alarms to further simplify the user experience.
Hydrogen Breath Testing (HBT) is a sensitive and non-invasive method of detecting gastro-intestinal disorders. Hydrogen breath tests make use of the gut bacteria’s capacity to digest sugars and convert them to hydrogen. This hydrogen is subsequently absorbed into the bloodstream and can be measured in the exhaled breath. Gastrointestinal disorders, including food malabsorption, sugar intolerances, and Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO), can be identified through the use of certain tests.input:
