It is a flowable haemostatic matrix that is off-white (slightly yellow). It is employed by applying it to a bleeding that occurs in tight and irregular spaces, particularly at a site that is difficult to access.input:

As soon as the sterile saline/Thrombin is uniformly mixed, it is prepared for use within 30 seconds.After constitution, the product envelops the bleeding site to expedite the process of stopping the bleeding.It has been demonstrated to be effective, safe, and efficient in the context of blood transfusions, major and minor complications, and surgical operating time.It maintains its position during active bleeding, even after being mixed with saline/Thrombin, thereby facilitating faster haemostasis in the intended location.

It is user-friendly and can be applied locally at the bleeding site.
