Pharmaceutical companies have implemented fluidized bed systems for decades. The mixture of dry powder particles is compressed by the addition of an aqueous or alcoholic granulation medium. A volatile solvent is present in the fluid and can be eliminated through the process of drying. For an extended period, top-spray was the predominant method for fluidized bed solutions. Nevertheless, the advantages of systems with tangential spray nozzles have become increasingly apparent, and as a result, they are increasingly replacing top-spray granulators. L.B. Bohle's fluid bed granulation portfolio encompasses production-scale systems and research and development systems for small production volumes.



In order to optimize fluidized beds, L.B. Bohle implements the Bohle Uni Cone BUC® process.



A conical displacement cone is affixed to a specially slotted air distributor plate, the patented Bohle Uni Cone BUC®. This design enables the particles to be fully fluidized. This uniform film, which is achieved without any twins, is achieved on pellets, for example, through tangential particle motion.input:
