Fluidized Bed Dryer

The VJ Instruments Fluid Bed Dryer is employed in the R&D, sample preparation, and quality control departments. It enables the gentle drying of bulk materials that are organic, inorganic, chemical, or pharmaceutical, without the occurrence of localized overheating. Materials that are suitable for this purpose may be fibrous, leafy, crystalline, coarse, or fine. The fluid bed dryer’s robust fan guarantees optimal airflow, which results in the loosening and thorough mixing of the products to be dried, thereby reducing the required drying time. The fluidized bed is further mixed with the interval operation. The temperature, drying time, and air volume can be continuously adjusted through the use of PLC and HMI.input:
output:The fluidized bed process, which is comparable to the method employed in large industrial dryers, is employed during the drying process in the Fluid Bed Dryer VJFBD-Lab. A filter is utilized to draw in ambient air. The air is directed across the heating elements by a blower, which subsequently propels it through the perforated plate and into the detachable drying container. The solid particles are dispersed and blown upward, thereby maintaining their separation. This prevents the particles from adhering and caking, which is a common occurrence when other drying methods are employed.input:
output:The fluid bed dryer’s air stream extracts moisture from the particles and subsequently exits through the filter bag in the cover. When working with products that are as small as 100 μm in diameter, it is recommended to employ the quick-clamp cover with the filter fleece insert. At idle speed, the 1000 watt blower generates an air volume of 185 m3/h, while the heater output is 2000 watts. The temperature, heating power, and air volume are all infinitely adjustable. The display gauge is employed to regulate the temperature.
