Description
The biosignalsplux Electroencephalography (EEG) sensor has been specifically engineered to accommodate both classic and localized EEG measurement applications. This EEG sensor with a single lead is ideal for experimental setups in which an EEG cap is too intrusive, a limited number of EEG channels are required, or when multiple sensor types are being used in conjunction with localized EEG monitoring.
The bipolar configuration, which consists of two measurement electrodes, is employed in conjunction with a reference electrode that is situated in a region of low muscular activity to detect the electrical potentials in a specific scalp region. The amplified difference between these two signals and the outcome of the brain’s electrical activity in the monitored scalp region is the resulting signal.
It is possible to monitor cerebral activity in response to visual or auditory stimuli through the use of this sensor, which allows for non-invasive, unobtrusive, and localized EEG monitoring.
