output:The patient-specific implant is designed on the patient’s defect after the CT scan has been converted to a virtual 3D model. The cranioplasty prosthesis and the affected anatomy are subsequently produced using 3D printing. The prosthesis is constructed from a two-part silicone mold that is based on platinum. The clinical team receives the moulds in a non-sterile state. (For sterilisation parameters, please click here) The mold is autoclaved and utilized in the theater to replicate the prosthesis using PMMA.Benefits:The patient’s defect was perfectly accommodated, and the cosmetic results were exceptional.
