The absence of fixation holes indicates that the articulating surface is smooth and continuous.

output:The bearing surface is highly polished with a liner.To prevent liner abrasion during joint reduction and to minimize wear in the event of femoral neck contact, the cup rim is rounded and highly polished. The retaining mechanism ensures femoral head retention at its recess threshold.

Chamfer at the threshold of the retaining mechanism delays contact with the stem neck, thereby enabling a greater clearance of the femoral stem in the liner and reducing PE wear.input:
