Description

A variety of dual mobility cups that are cylindrico-spherical.The dual mobility concept means that the femoral head moves within the liner, while the liner moves within the metal cup. This results in an increase in joint stability and a reduction in wear. It maintains the fundamental characteristics of the previous version, which is why it maintains its clinical results from 2000.input:
output:
Cylindro-spherical cementless cup with a flat pole that optimizes the press-fit effect.

Design that is based on Saturne®’s experience

The absence of fixation holes indicates that the articulating surface is smooth and continuous.

Shape with a 3mm over hemisphere to ensure adequate coverage of the head and liner, while maintaining a high range of motion.

Dual coating: HAP (80 µm) + plasma-sprayed titanium (80 µm)input:
output:
Primary fixation is guaranteed by a +0.5 mm equatorial press-fit:

Rotation stability is achieved through the use of inverted chevron-shaped notches.

– The cup’s retention in the bone is enhanced by horizontal parallel grooves that encircle the equator.input:
output:The bearing surface is highly polished with a liner. To prevent liner abrasion during joint reduction and to minimize wear in the event of femoral neck contact, the cup rim is rounded and highly polished. The retaining mechanism ensures femoral head retention at its recess threshold.

Chamfer at the threshold of the retaining mechanism delays contact with the stem neck, thereby enabling a greater clearance of the femoral stem in the liner and reducing PE wear.input:
output:The SATURNE® dual mobility cup range is still available to provide a comprehensive solution:

Version of the reconstructionThe same polyethylene liners are used for all versions.
