Exposure and Incision

Parallel to the peroneal tendons, an incision is made lateral to the calcaneus. Expose the calcaneus by dissecting the soft tissue.

Note: Ensure that the sural nerve is identified and safeguarded.input:

OsteotomyPerform an osteotomy by cutting through the calcaneus and reaching the opposing cortex with a saw.

Option: CrossRoads cut guide is available to pre-set anterior holes and provide a guide for the saw. Maintain the positioning pins in their current position to facilitate the identification of the fixation holes.

Caution: Prior to osteotomy, only drill anterior drill holes.
