Brain Tumor Treatment Laser Ablation System

The NeuroBlate® System, manufactured by Monteris® Medical, Inc., facilitates MRI-Guided Neurosurgical Ablation. It is the sole system that monitors ablation contours in three dimensions and provides real-time imaging to assist the surgeon in making clinical decisions. The NeuroBlate System utilizes diode laser energy, which is transmitted through a gas-cooled, fiber-optic probe. This technology enables surgeons to safely access and selectively ablate soft tissue and brain lesions that may have been previously considered inoperable. The NeuroBlate System offers physicians a "Ray of Light" and patients a "Ray of Hope" by providing a new level of Controlled Access, Contoured Ablation, and Confirmed Margins.

The NeuroBlate System is a disposable surgical device, software, and hardware that is utilized in conjunction with an existing MRI scanner. By integrating these devices, the neurosurgeon can precisely direct a gas-cooled laser probe that is compatible with MRI to a specific target, administer laser interstitial thermal therapy (LITT), and monitor the thermal dose using real-time MRI thermometry data.
