The NeuroBlate® System, manufactured by Monteris® Medical, Inc., facilitates MRI-Guided Neurosurgical Ablation. It is the sole system that monitors ablation contours in three dimensions and provides real-time imaging to assist the surgeon in making clinical decisions. The NeuroBlate System utilizes diode laser energy, which is transmitted through a gas-cooled, fiber-optic probe. This technology enables surgeons to safely access and selectively ablate soft tissue and brain lesions that may have been previously considered inoperable. The NeuroBlate System offers physicians a “Ray of Light” and patients a “Ray of Hope” by providing a new level of Controlled Access, Contoured Ablation, and Confirmed Margins.
The NeuroBlate System is a disposable surgical device, software, and hardware that is utilized in conjunction with an existing MRI scanner. By integrating these devices, the neurosurgeon can precisely direct a gas-cooled laser probe that is compatible with MRI to a specific target, administer laser interstitial thermal therapy (LITT), and monitor the thermal dose using real-time MRI thermometry data. “The System is the Solution” is a phrase that we utilize at Monteris.
The NeuroBlate directional laser is the preferred tool for contoured ablation of targets while preserving adjacent healthy tissue. The NeuroBlate diffusing laser is engineered to deliver rapid, volumetric ablation within a concentric zone of hyperthermia.
