output:Safe handling option for “one caregiver”The Detachable Seat System, a distinctive feature of the Compact range of Astor-Bannerman Care baths, is an exceptional new option that simplifies patient handling and bathing. The innovative system enables a resident to be transported from their room in a seat that is securely fastened to the transfer chassis, similar to a wheelchair. The resident is secured with a lap belt and side nursing arms. The fixed arm on the bath can be connected to the seat by wheeling residents alongside it. Safely secured, the transfer chassis can be removed, transforming the seat into an integrated bath seat that can safely transfer the bather into the bath. The transfer chassis is engaged, the bather is wrapped in a robe, and they are quickly wheeled back to their room to be changed in the comfort of their own room, all while being efficiently navigated out of the bath on the seat at the end of the bath. Additionally, the seat includes a commode option. When the seat is removed from the bath, a flexible headrest can be affixed to the bath arm to transform it into a more comfortable standard bath with a headrest.
