Product summary

The keratometer can be used to determine the appropriate base curve of the soft contact lens by measuring the curvature of the anterior surface of the cornea. It can also be employed to verify corneal astigmatism using a keratometer, which serves as a reference for optometry.input:
output:The keratometer is employed to establish the presence of astigmatism, astigmatism, and axial direction in the cornea by measuring the curvature of each meridian on the front surface of the cornea that is approximately 3mm in the center. This measurement includes the radius of curvature and the curvature.input:
output:Product Description

The keratometer serves the following clinical functions:input:
output:
1. The base curve of the lens can be selected based on the radius of curvature of the principal meridian of the anterior surface of the customer's cornea during the contact lens fitting process.

The base curve of the lens is chosen so that it is either equal to or slightly larger than the radius of curvature of the principal meridian of the anterior surface of the cornea. The subsequent formula can be employed to calculate:

BC is the sum of the radii of curvature of two principal meridians that are mutually perpendicular, scaled as 2×1.1.

For instance, the curvature radii of two principal meridians that are perpendicular to one another are 7.6 and 7.8, respectively.BC = 7.6 + 7.8 / 2 x 1.1 = 8.47input:
output:2. After wearing the contact lenses, assess the tightness of the lenses.Make the wearer blink during the testing process. The visual mark will remain unaltered and visible as long as the wearer is well-groomed.If the garment is worn too loosely, the image will be clear prior to blinking, but it will become blurred immediately afterward. Eventually, the image will become clear again.
