Automatic Colony Counter

The SphereFlash® is an Automatic Colony Counter that is fully compatible with the standards of contemporary microbiology laboratories.

Thanks to its patented built-in lighting system and world-class software, the Colony Lite software version facilitates colony counting in a straightforward and dependable manner.

For increased demands, the software can be upgraded to Colonies PRO to enhance its capabilities, such as the establishment of User Permission Levels, LIMS connectivity, Worksheets, Barcode Scanning, Reporting, Audit Trail, or CFR21 Part 11.

The SphereFlash® unit can be converted to measure inhibition halos by utilizing the optional Halos PRO app, which accepts a variety of circle approximation criteria. This allows for the acquisition of the corresponding diameters of virtual circle areas.

The internal wall of a moving spherical chamber is illuminated by LEDs in all versions. The outcome is an unprecedented uniform and reflection-free illumination in a colony counter device.

The chamber is automatically sealed by the moving sphere, which also protects the Petri dish from any external light. It prevents the reflection or interference of external light, thereby generating a luminous environment that is devoid of reflections from the walls of the Petri dish or the colonies. The light by transmission is also accessible in all versions of transparent media.
