SEDACOM’s name is derived from SErial DAta COMmunication, which is a result of the direct communication between the BIOSEB devices and the computer via an RS232 serial port. In the present day, certain optional accessories are available to facilitate the use of USB technology, which enables the execution of experiments on a laptop upon request.input:
output:SEDACOM is exclusively constrained by the number of series ports available on the computer, to the extent that it can acquire data from up to nine devices simultaneously. The number of connections can be increased by installing an additional hub or board with serial ports (not included). The quantity of systems that are connected will be automatically identified by SEDACOM.input:
