The isolated perfused liver and isolated perfused kidney models are dependable standards for pharmacological research. The rat has been the donor animal in the majority of these studies; however, there has been a recent surge in interest in the mouse model. The liver or kidney is mounted using luer-hubbed, paired stainless steel cannula that are connected to flexible inlet and outlet lines.

The chamber’s lid is equipped with a central threaded mount that facilitates the attachment of a fiber optic cable. This cable is employed for optical measurements of endogenous nucleotides or a variety of fluorescent indicators.
