Rodent face masks are constructed from transparent acrylic and are compatible with all non-breathing apparatuses. This system is intended for use in conjunction with the Mapleson-D style nonrebreathing system AS-01-0500-07.
The masks are sealed around the rodent's face by the diaphragms, which also mitigate the potential for anesthetic gases to escape into the room. Face mask diaphragms are constructed from 12 mil thick latex, and they can be adapted to accommodate rodents of varying sizes by cutting openings in the diaphragm. Additional diaphragm material is included.
