CleverGEL is produced through a process that eliminates organic solvents that are detrimental to marine life, rendering it significantly more environmentally friendly than conventional agarose. A high gel strength facilitates handling and ensures compatibility with blotting techniques, while a low EEO (electroendoosmotic) flow reduces diffusion to ensure that even the smallest nucleic acid fragments remain sharp and tightly resolved. CleverGEL is now accessible in two forms: a low melting point version for enzymatic applications and nucleic acid recovery, and a high resolution PCR-grade version for the resolution of very small nucleic acid fragments ranging from 20 to 800 bp in size.
