Shell for ReconstructionReconstruction ring for larger acetabular defectsThe AESCULAP® Reconstruction Shell is designed for severe acetabular revision cases. The bony acetabular bed in the loading area is reinforced by the anatomical geometry. The implant is available in both left and right versions, which surgeons may select. The outer diameter is adjustable by 6 mm increments from 52 to 64 mm. Bone cement is employed to secure the appropriate cemented polyethylene cup. These cups are also available in Vitelene® cemented PE. The 6.5 mm fixation screws provide supplementary stability.
