Absorbable Suture Thread

Chirlac rapid braided is a synthetic, multifilament suture that is short-term absorbable and coated with low molecular weight polyglycolic acid. The coating and suture are composed of nonantigenic and noncollagenous substances. Violet and natural are the colors in which Chirlac rapid braided is available.



By hydrolysis, the polymer degrades to glycolic acid, which is subsequently absorbed and metabolized by the body, resulting in a progressive loss of tensile strength and absorption of Chirlac rapid braided.input:
